2020 e-Chapter Board Candidates

Candidate:  President Elect

Sarah M. Scheuermann, DNP, APRN, CPNP-PC

 

Sarah Scheuermann

Sarah has been the e-Chapter’s Communication Chair since 2018 where she is responsible for keeping the membership “Up to Date” with e-Chapter activities.  She also been the creator of the e-Chapter Newsletter. Sarah has been a NAPNAP member since 2012. Sarah’s DNP work centered on utilization of televisits for improving pediatric obesity care.

Sarah is a primary care PNP who lives in Mandeville, LA.  She is a pediatric nurse practitioner with Children's International Pediatrics in Lacombe, Louisiana, one of Children's International's 22 primary care pediatric clinics. Previous CPNP-PC experience was gained with Children’s Hospital of New Orleans After-Hours Clinic and Alabama Children's Clinic. She completed her DNP at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. In the early 1990s, prior to the start of Sarah’s nursing career, she was a newspaper reporter for The Picayune Item.

Melissa Feliz Nunn, DNP, APRN, CPNP-BC

 

Melissa Feliz Nunn

Melissa was the 2018 e-Chapter PNP of the year. As a resident of New Orleans, Melissa was an essential member of the e-Chapter Host Planning Committee for the 2019 NAPNAP Conference in New Orleans.  Shortly after the conference, she was appointed by the Board to fill the position of Secretary.

Melissa currently is the Director of Advance Practice at Children’s Hospital, New Orleans. She works in the emergency department at Children's Hospital of New Orleans and serves as a preceptor for PNP and FNP students.  She is an instructor and lead faculty at LSU Health in the DNP pediatric nurse practitioner program.  Melissa is currently enrolled in the Post-Masters Acute Care PNP program at Vanderbilt University.
